Art Deco mahogany gentlemans wardrobe by Compactom

A stunning 1930s gentleman’s ‘YN’ model wardrobe by Compactom Ltd of London.

Made of walnut burr, mahogany and oak, it features a selection of drawers and compartments and patented radial fan hanging rail. A nifty cupboard within the base provides storage for shoes and there is even a small holder for pomander at the top of the left door! There is an instructions label on the reverse for how to dismantle the wardrobe for moving.

This piece is in good vintage condition, there are some small issues to mention as follows:

Cracked glass in second drop down shelf.

Cracked handle that has been repaired with glue.

Warped handle.

Stain on bottom compartment lid.

Small amount of damage to veneer on front .

Minor scratches on sides.

All are minor cosmetic damage and in keeping for a item of this age (please see photos for more detail)
