Extremely rare original set of 4 Cesca chairs, designed in 1928 by Marcel Breuer and made in the 60s by Gavina, Italy.
Described as being "among the 10 most important chairs of the 20th century," by Cara McCarty at MOMA, many of us will have grown up with these chairs.
Cantilevered tubular steel frame and ebonised hardwood beech and Vienna straw seat. All chairs have the label underneath and show the stitching around the frame work. Front lip is also curved down on the frame all showing the genuine features of these chairs.
In good vintage condition. Some minor scuffs here and there to the paintwork and the cane is in good condition also.
